In 2010, MoMA presented a retrospective of Marina Abramovic’s work, The Artist Is Present. For many people, one of the most memorable parts of this exhibition was the opportunity to sit with Abramovic during her performance of the title work. The artist is interested in gathering information about visitors’ experiences of this performance, and is putting out the call below:

Did you sit across from Marina Abramovic or wait in line to do so during The Artist Is Present (2010) at MoMA? If yes, she would like to hear from you. E-mail contact@mai-hudson.org with subject line ‘PRESENT’ for more information.

Join in this collective effort to capture the experiences of the work, and keep an eye on the artist’s ambitious current endeavor: creating The Marina Abramovic Institute in Hudson, New York!
